Softball Recap: Clinton Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Clinton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Millbury Woolies 12-11. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Gaels also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Leo Repole made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over eight innings while giving up eight earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Repole was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Lauren Lemanski was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Eliana Vazquez was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four RBI and one double.

The win got Clinton back to even at 1-1.

Clinton and Millbury will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Clinton will take on rival Tyngsborough at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Millbury is set to square off against their familiar foe Uxbridge at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
