Softball Recap: Lourdes Comes Up Short

Lourdes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-0 to the Horicon Marshmen. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Marshmen this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-3 defeat back in April.

Lourdes' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Horicon, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Lourdes will head out on the road to challenge Wayland Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Big Red have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.71 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Horicon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-3 defeat against West Bend East on the 10th.
