Volleyball Recap: Franklin Central Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Franklin Central waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pendleton Heights Arabians. The Flashes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Arabians, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23.

Ryelle Koomler paced Franklin Central's offense, picking up 13 kills. Koomler got some help from Emily Williams and her 30 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Franklin Central's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Pendleton Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Franklin Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Franklin Community on the 25th. As for Pendleton Heights, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Noblesville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
