Softball Recap: Amery Drops Highest Score of Season Against Clear Lake

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amery). They put the hurt on Clear Lake with a sharp 18-3 victory on Monday. Amery has beaten Clear Lake the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Clear Lake has come to flipping the script.

Amery got a massive performance out of Marissa Fisk, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Fisk has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Ruby Christian was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Amery always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Clear Lake, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Amery will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Baldwin-Woodville at 5:00 p.m. As for Clear Lake, they will venture away from home to face off against Flambeau at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
