Soccer Game Preview: Owen Valley vs. Lighthouse Christian Academy

The Owen Valley Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Owen Valley is coming into the contest fresh off a high-scoring shootout with Eastern Greene that saw the pair combine for 12 shots on goal. The Patriots walked away with a 4-2 win over the Thunderbirds on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Owen Valley needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

They hit Eastern Greene with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Silas Wesley (2), Noah Hall, and Soloman Nardi.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lighthouse Christian Academy faced off against Washington Catholic on Tuesday. The Lions and the Cardinals finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Lighthouse Christian Academy have been dealt a draw since back in August.

The victory got Owen Valley back to even at 5-5-1. Lighthouse Christian Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 6-4-2.
