Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Challis). Everything went their way against the West Jefferson Panthers on Thursday as they made off with a 24-3 victory. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.

Marlen Mitchell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
