Basketball Recap: Sahuaro Beats Maricopa for Their Third Straight Victory

Sahuaro strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They strolled past the Maricopa Rams with points to spare, taking the game 92-74. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 82-64 last Wednesday.

Sahuaro got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cisco Llamas out in front who dropped a triple-double with 29 points, 12 boards, and ten assists. The matchup was Llamas' 11th in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Teasley, who shot 67% from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points.

Sahuaro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Sahuaro's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Maricopa, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Sahuaro wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-47 victory against Palo Verde on the 29th. As for Maricopa, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Desert View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
