Chester is 10-0 against Westwood since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Chester Volcanoes will head out on the road to face off against the Westwood Lumberjacks at 5:30 p.m.

Chester is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 58 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Redding Christian on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Lions and fell 65-25. While losing is never fun, the Volcanoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1004th, while the Lions are ranked 377th).

Meanwhile, everything went Westwood's way against Providence on Tuesday as Westwood made off with a 63-40 win. The Lumberjacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Westwood's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points per game. As for Chester, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-8.

Chester didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Westwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 44-38 win. Will Chester repeat their success, or does Westwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
