Basketball Recap: C.H. Friend Takes a Loss

C.H. Friend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 55-33 to the Temple Christian Crusaders.

Temple Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Cash, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jace Reno, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

C.H. Friend's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Temple Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.

C.H. Friend has already played their next contest (against Faith Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Temple Christian and Roanoke Valley Christian will face off at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Temple Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
