Volleyball Game Preview: Alpharetta Raiders vs. Marietta Blue Devils + Official Tickets

The Alpharetta Raiders will take on the Marietta Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alpharetta will be looking to extend their current 29-game winning streak.

Alpharetta is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Douglas County 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Alpharetta took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-9, 25-14.

Alpharetta found their leader in sophomore Harsha Velugoti, who had 17 assists and six digs. Velugoti has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played. Susie Dai was another key player, getting 17 assists.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marietta, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Campbell with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Marietta never let Campbell on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-19.

Marietta's victory bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Alpharetta, their win bumped their record up to 35-1.

Alpharetta beat Marietta 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
