Sandia is a perfect 10-0 against Manzano since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Matadors will head out to square off against the Monarchs at 11:00 a.m. Sandia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Sandia is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Capital, who was ranked ninth at the time (Sandia was ranked second). The Matadors blew past the Jaguars 4-1 on Wednesday. Sandia haven't had any issues with Capital recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Sandia hit Capital with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mateo Ojeda (2), Isaac Pier, and Ethan Tewa.

Meanwhile, Manzano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Santa Fe. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Manzano it sure didn't stay that way.

Sandia's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-2. As for Manzano, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything went Sandia's way against Manzano in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Sandia made off with an 8-1 win. In that contest, the Matadors amassed a halftime lead of 5-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
