Football Recap: Southwest Dragons vs. Southside Cardinals
While Southwest put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Southside. The Southwest Dragons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southside Cardinals 28-0 at home. Considering the Dragons have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jah Mills was his usual excellent self, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Southwest pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing South San Antonio the next time they take the field. Southwest will head out to face South San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Southside will host them at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.
