North Sand Mountain had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Sale Creek Panthers as they made off with  a  14-2 win.  Carson Harvey made a big impact no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Cooper Pierce, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Mikey Poss, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-4.
 North Sand Mountain  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
North Sand Mountain pushed their record up to 10-2 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sale Creek,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as Sale Creek Panthers  face off against  Whitwell Tigers at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. They are strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6  runs per game  this season.
