Basketball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Durango lost against Green Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trailblazers took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators. While the Trailblazers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Gators 14-7 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Durango saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lailah Cole posted 27 points and seven steals.

Tabitha Bwakamba was the offensive standout of the contest as she almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high. Talitah Hendy was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Durango's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Durango has already played their next matchup (against Basic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Green Valley, they will take on Box Elder in a tournament on Thursday. The Gators will be up against the Bees' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
