Basketball Preview: Troy Trojans vs. Logos Knights
Troy and Logos are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Troy Trojans will square off against the Logos Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Logos took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Troy, who comes in off a win.
Troy is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Clearwater Valley on Saturday. Troy pulled ahead with a 47-46 photo finish over Clearwater Valley. The Trojans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Logos' game on Saturday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 67-53 bruising from Kamiah. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Kubs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Troy will have to contain Seamus Wilson as he made an impact in Logos' last game. He went 9 of 21 on his way to 23 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Wilson's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bear Lopez, who posted 12 points.
Logos' defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Troy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Troy beat Logos 69-58 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Troy repeat their success, or does Logos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
