Soccer Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Washington

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Washington had no problem doing just that on Monday. They beat the Princeton Tigers by a goal, winning 2-1. This was a revenge game for Washington: when they faced off against Princeton two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-2 loss.

Cole McCleese and Blake Boyd scored both of Washington's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

The victory (which was Washington's third in a row) raised their record to 11-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three contests. As for Princeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Washington didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Gibson Southern on the 8th. Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
