Notre Dame (SO) hasn't had much luck against Loyola recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Notre Dame (SO) Knights will be playing at home against the Loyola Cubs at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Loyola will be up against a hot Notre Dame (SO) squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Notre Dame (SO) put the hurt on St. Francis with a sharp 6-2 win on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-goal performance the game before.

They hit St. Francis with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anton Caballero (2), Nico Marliani (2), Ryan Giraldo, and Myles Starr.

Meanwhile, Loyola put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Bishop Alemany 6-1. Given the Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Warriors are ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loyola's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Notre Dame (SO), they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.
