Softball Recap: Southmoore SaberCats vs. Piedmont Wildcats
It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Southmoore ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Piedmont Wildcats. Three seems to be a good number for the SaberCats as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Southmoore is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Piedmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 30-7.

Edmond Memorial is coming into the matchup with seven straight wins on the road, so Piedmont will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
