Huron is a perfect 10-0 against Grosse Ile since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Chiefs will head out to challenge the Devils at 4:30 p.m. The last five games Huron has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, Huron didn't have quite enough to beat Fenton and fell 6-4.

Catherine Shore made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Addison Ramsby also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Grosse Ile was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Inter-City Baptist, falling 11-1.

Grosse Ile saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charlie McCarthy, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Mayve McGowan was another, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Huron's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Grosse Ile, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Huron got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Grosse Ile by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Chiefs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
