Baseball Recap: North Eugene Wins Going Away Against Springfield

North Eugene had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Springfield Millers. The matchup marked the Highlanders' most dominant win of the season.

Duncan Roudabush made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Aiden Hibler was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Broderick Poe, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

North Eugene always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted an OBP of .160.

North Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Springfield, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

North Eugene will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Millers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
