Volleyball Recap: Chelsea's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Chelsea unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Madison Trojans by a score of 2-1. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in August of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sophia Stanavich paced Chelsea's offense, picking up ten kills. Stanavich got some help from Lexi Cummer and her 29 assists. Mia Kuboushek controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Chelsea's loss dropped their record down to 19-7-1. As for Madison, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Chelsea wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Monroe on the 23rd. As for Madison, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ida on the 23rd.
