Volleyball Recap: Saucon Valley Beats Pen Argyl for Their Third Straight Victory

Saucon Valley entered their tilt with Pen Argyl on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Green Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Pen Argyl saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emily McHale had 15 digs and one assist. McHale is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Saucon Valley's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Pen Argyl, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Saucon Valley will take on rival Palmerton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pen Argyl is set to face off against their familiar foe Catasauqua at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
