Football Recap: Edinburg North Comes Up Short

Edinburg North extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-9. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edinburg Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 947th, while the Bobcats are ranked 418th).

As for Edinburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-4. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their five-point performance the game before.

Aidden Sanchez was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 43 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Those 43 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

As of now, neither Edinburg North nor Edinburg have any future games scheduled.
