Strath Haven is 8-2 against Penncrest since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Strath Haven Panthers face off against Penncrest Lions at 3:45 p.m. Strath Haven will be strutting in after a victory while Penncrest will be coming in after a defeat.

Strath Haven is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Springfield on Wednesday. Strath Haven never let Springfield get on the board and left with a 6-0 win.

Jasper Hals looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Alex Selverian was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Penncrest scored first but ultimately less than Marple Newtown in their match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Fightin' Tigers by a score of 6-5.

Penncrest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Bittle, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those hits marked the first that Bittle got this season.

Penncrest's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Strath Haven, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Strath Haven beat Penncrest 5-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strath Haven since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
