Basketball Recap: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Piles Up the Points Against Christchurch School

After losing to Christchurch School the last time they met, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 72-37 win over the Christchurch School Seahorses. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nansemond-Suffolk Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madden Gilliatt, who went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Gilliatt is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was KJ Pidgeon, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 12 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive games.
