            Volleyball Recap: Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars vs. Mill Valley Jaguars        
        
		
        
        
            
Shawnee Mission Northwest faced Mill Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of  3-2. The Cougars have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
 The  defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Mill Valley scored at least 13 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 21-25,  15-13.
 Bo Bronson paced Shawnee Mission Northwest's offense, picking up 20 kills. Bronson got some help from  Lilli Weber and her 34 assists.  Delani Luttrell controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
 Mill Valley found their leader in sophomore  Haedyn Lynnes, who  had 12  digs and eight  assists.
Shawnee Mission Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 20-9. As for Mill Valley, their victory was  their 11th straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 26-4.
 Shawnee Mission Northwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  defeat against Olathe West on the 16th. As for Mill Valley, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  win against Hayden on the 15th.
