There's no place like home for Notre Dame Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Algoma Wolves on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tritons, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Aubrey Wykoff was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Jahner, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Madison Siminski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Notre Dame Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory snapped Notre Dame Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-12 record. As for Algoma, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Coming up, Notre Dame Academy will be playing at home against Manitowoc Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tritons are facing the Ships at the right time seeing as the Ships are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Algoma has already played their next contest (against Denmark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
