You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Sierra Stallions's strategy against the Mitchell Marauders on Monday. Sierra took down Mitchell 41-27. That's another feather in the cap for Sierra, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Leading Sierra to victory were Briana Torres and Marisa Reyes. Torres dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Reyes scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Reyes has scored at least a third of Sierra's points. Another player making a difference was Patritia Hobson, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

Sierra's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Mitchell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Sierra will stay at home for another game and welcome The Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
