Softball Recap: Parrish Community Find Success

The Parrish Community Bulls beat the St. Cloud Bulldogs 8-4 on Saturday.

Alysa Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Mackenzie Pandelo was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in February of 2025. Emma Sanderson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Parrish Community's victory bumped their record up to 10-5-1. As for St. Cloud, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Parrish Community will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for St. Cloud, they will be taking part in a tournament against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Kowboys will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
