Football Recap: Miamisburg Takes a Loss

Miamisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 17-7 to the Centerville Elks. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Elks are ranked 144th).

Miamisburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Centerville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Miamisburg will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wayne at 7:00 p.m. The Vikings will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Centerville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
