It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monmouth-Roseville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers by a score of 22-20 on Saturday.

Payton Thompson and Landon Montroy certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Thompson rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while Montroy rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Montroy has posted since back in September of 2023.

Even though they lost, Monmouth-Roseville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 169 rushing yards in 14 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Robert Boyd-Meents was his usual excellent self, rushing for 159 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry for Paxton-Buckley-Loda.
