Baseball Recap: Central Linn's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Central Linn hadn't done well against Regis recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Cobras came out on top against the Rams by a score of 8-4. The game was the first time the Cobras have beaten the Rams on their field since May 10, 2019.

Central Linn got a great performance from Beau Snyder as he struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Thomas Thornton and Trevon Nofziger did most of the damage at the plate: Thornton scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Nofziger scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Nofziger is becoming a predictor of Central Linn's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Chance Kallai also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

With the victory, Central Linn broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Regis, their record is now 2-6.
