Clifton waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the West Trojans by a score of 63-50. This was a revenge game for the Cubs: when they faced off against the Trojans back in January, they had to take a 65-54 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clifton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Hinojosa, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Ray Ochoa, who put up 15 points.

West's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Poteet, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Rinewalt, who scored 14 points.

Clifton pushed their record up to 22-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clifton will host Whitney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season. As for West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Troy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 62.4 points per game.
