Volleyball Recap: Suzy Moore Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Decatur Central

If Decatur Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cascade, they should've done a better job of containing Lacie Godby. The Cadets came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday with plenty of help from Godby, who had 34 assists and 11 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 20-25, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cascade to victory, but perhaps none more so than Suzy Moore, who had 14 digs and one assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilli Romero, who had ten digs and two assists.

Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Decatur Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will face off against South Putnam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Decatur Central, they will take on Lawrence Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
