Volleyball Recap: Suzy Moore Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Decatur Central

Cascade won the last time they faced Decatur Central and Lacie Godby did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cadets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Hawks on Wednesday with plenty of help from Godby, who had 34 assists and 11 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 20-25, 25-23.

Cascade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Suzy Moore led the charge by getting 14 digs and one assist. Lilli Romero was another key player, getting ten digs and two assists.

Decatur Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isabelle 'Izzy' Burton, who had 15 digs. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Cummings, who had 11 digs.

Cascade's record is now 15-11. As for Decatur Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Cascade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against South Putnam on the 2nd. As for Decatur Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lawrence Central on the 25th.
