Basketball Recap: Indian Creek Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Indian Creek can now relate to. They were dealt a 65-24 loss at the hands of the Fairfield Union Falcons on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Redskins have suffered since December 23, 2024.

Indian Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Mckenna Scott and Riley Sadler. Scott posted 12 points, while Sadler scored four points and 11 boards. Indian Creek is 11-4 when Sadler posts eight or more rebounds, but 5-6 otherwise.

With the loss, Indian Creek broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-10. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.3 points on average over those games. As for Fairfield Union, their victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-0.
