A Season-Best Performance from Ty Williams Leads Madisonville over La Grange

Ty Williams produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Madisonville to the win on Friday. Williams threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown. His passing game has become a key predictor of Madisonville's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

If history really does repeat itself, Williams might just drop another big game when he faces off against Caldwell on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Williams saw the Hornets), he threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing, and also rushed for 43 yards.

Bryson Mcdaniel Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Giddings got the W thanks in part to Bryson Mcdaniel playing the best football he has all season. Mcdaniel rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102.8) per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.

Mcdaniel must have Caldwell's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Mcdaniel rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Hornets duked it out back in October of 2023.
