Cedar Ridge and Seaforth squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Cedar Ridge had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Fighting Red Wolves' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Cedar Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Ridge lost, don't look at Sydnee Tapper. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two aces. Tapper has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Taylor Perry was the offensive standout of the match as she had 19 digs.

Cedar Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 24-2. As for Seaforth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

Cedar Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seaforth, they will square off against Person at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
