Baseball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello lost against Crossett on April 11th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Billies fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2.

Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Harvey, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Monticello now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Crossett, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will head out to challenge McGehee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Billies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Owls have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Crossett, they will venture away from home to take on Hamburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
