Bishop O'Connell won the last time they faced Archbishop Carroll and things went their way on Sunday too. The Bishop O'Connell Knights took their matchup with ease, bagging a 64-24 victory over the Archbishop Carroll Lions. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 13th in Virginia, while the Lions are ranked 116th in District of Columbia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop O'Connell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amanda Bates, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Sweazie, who scored ten points.

Bishop O'Connell has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Archbishop Carroll, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-20.
