Baseball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

Union County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Chaminade-Madonna Lions, falling 7-1.

Union County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jeffrey Brugh, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another was Foster Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Union County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Chaminade-Madonna, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Baker County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they will square off against ABF Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
