Baseball Recap: Apollo Ridge's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Apollo Ridge gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Moniteau Warriors by a score of 5-2.

The team relied heavily on Noah Stewart, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. Zac Myers also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Apollo Ridge's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6. As for Moniteau, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Coming up, Apollo Ridge will take on Our Lady of the Sacred Heart at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Moniteau, they will square off against Clarion Area at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
