Union Academy is a perfect 10-0 against Monroe since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cardinals will venture away from home to face off against the Redhawks at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Union Academy has five straight victories, Monroe has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

It was a proper cat-fight when Union Academy duked it out with Mount Pleasant on Wednesday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers. Give Union Academy's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

They hit Mount Pleasant with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sara Baker, Hadassa Garcia, and Isabella Marquez.

Meanwhile, Monroe fell victim to Forest Hills and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Yellow Jackets.

Union Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-3-1. As for Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Union Academy took their victory against Monroe when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
