Bogue Chitto got themselves on the board against Amite County on Friday, but Amite County never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 19-0 win. Considering the Bobcats have won six matchups by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Noah Magee was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Bogue Chitto's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-9 when he doesn't). Tripp McCaffrey was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Magee wasn't the only one making solid contact: Bogue Chitto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for the Bobcats: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.6.

Bogue Chitto has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Amite County, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Bogue Chitto will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
