Basketball Recap: Enochs Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Gregori

Enochs lost to Gregori back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Enochs Eagles enjoyed a cozy 66-51 win over the Gregori Jaguars. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Jaguars are ranked 122nd).

When it comes to explaining why Gregori lost, don't look at Jayson Powers. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Powers' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Jaeden Cortez was another key player, putting up nine points.
