Football Game Preview: Sunnyside Blue Devils vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions + Official Tickets

The Sunnyside Blue Devils will face off against the Mountain View Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sunnyside is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They took a blow against Flowing Wells, falling 43-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Mountain View played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 48-20 defeat at the hands of Marana. The Mountain Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.

Despite the loss, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Drake Davis rushed for 133 yards and one score. Davis was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 68 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Chris Nelson, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sunnyside, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Sunnyside might still be hurting after the 29-6 loss they got from Mountain View in their previous meeting back in September of 2017.
