Softball Recap: J.R. Tucker Tigers vs. Freeman Mavericks
J.R. Tucker took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Freeman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Mavericks 5-4. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Mavericks on their field since March 25, 2022.
Kendall Shockley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Shockley was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
