Welsh won the last time they faced Oberlin and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Welsh Greyhounds came out on top against the Oberlin Tigers by a score of  5-2. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Greyhounds.
 Ethan Beard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March of 2024.
 At the plate, Welsh's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Levi Mallett, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.  Jordan Strong also deserves some recognition as  he  stole his first  stolen base of the season.
Welsh picked up their first home  victory, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Oberlin, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Coincidentally, Welsh and Oberlin will both be playing Jennings the next time they take the field. Oberlin will head out to face Jennings at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Welsh will play them later in the day, at 5:30  p.m.
