Basketball Game Preview: Chamberlain Cubs vs. Gregory Gorillas

The Chamberlain Cubs will take on the Gregory Gorillas in a holiday battle at at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chamberlain is leaving town to face Gregory after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Chamberlain came up short against Todd County on Saturday, falling 66-44.

Gregory kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 64-43 to St. Mary's. The Gorillas have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Chamberlain will have to contain Cole Serr as he made an impact in Gregory's last game. He dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Serr a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colt Keiser, who posted six points.

Chamberlain might still be hurting after the 62-36 defeat they got from Gregory in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Chamberlain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
