Softball Game Preview: East Limestone Indians vs. Ardmore Tigers

East Limestone hasn't had much luck against Ardmore recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, East Limestone didn't have quite enough to beat Brewer and fell 8-7.

Kailey Matthews and Miami Wilcox did some serious damage despite the final result: Matthews scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Wilcox scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Harley Johnson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Ardmore entered their matchup against Buckhorn on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 11-10. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Limestone's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-8. As for Ardmore, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 19-12-1.

East Limestone came out on top in a nail-biter against Ardmore when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
