Basketball Recap: Leon Falls Despite Big Games from Elijah Knight and Dekendrick Williams

It was a proper cat-fight when Leon faced off against Cedar Shoals on Saturday. The Lions fell 74-68 to the Jaguars. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

DeKendrick Williams and Elijah Knight certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Williams shot 55% from the field en route to 37 points, while Knight went 8-for-12 to rack up 23 points. The game was Knight's third in a row with at least 20 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Leon fell to 2-1. As for Cedar Shoals, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Leon will take on Archer at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Cedar Shoals, they will host Discovery at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
